Non-transparent

Refers to a connexion made by a client application that is directed to a gateway, where it is covertly sent to the server. In other words, the client believes that the gateway is the server, and is unaware of the true server's identity. The opposite of transparent. Non-transparent access is routinely used for inbound access so that the inside topology is never revealed.
