This is the name of the pattern created by knitting every single stitch, i.e. on the front and on the back. It is durable, does not curl at the edges and is unbeatable when you like to knit while ...
This stitch pattern is created by knitting all stitches on the right side of work and purling all stitches on the back side. Old patterns also call this "plain knitting."
Continue knitting rows in a set pattern without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.
Move a stitch from the left to the right needle without working it. Stitches may be slipped knitwise (insert needle as if to knit) or purlwise (insert needle as if to purl.)
Reduce the number of stitches in a row of knitting by working two stitches together as one, slipping a stitch and passing it over the next stitch, or casting off at beginning of row.
Make an additional stitch in a row of knitting by placing a loop over the needle, working twice into one stitch, or casting on at the end of a row.
Lay working yarn over right needle from front to back. Proceed with knitting row. On next row, knit or purl the yarn over like any other stitch. Yarn overs are used to create holes in lace.
