Child's Pose
The 2013 Romanian drama film Child's Pose (Romanian: Poziția copilului) is directed by Călin Peter Netzer. The film premiered in competition at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival where it won the main prize of the festival, the Golden Bear.
This is the first time the Golden Bear is awarded to a Romanian movie.
The male protagonist Barbu(Bogdan Dumitrache) runs over a child, while clearly speeding. He faces a criminal trial and years of prison. His mother Cornelia (Luminița Gheorghiu), architect and member of the Romanian elite, starts activities to bribe witnesses in order to avoid the conviction of her son.
